Mainstay Academy

The Mainstay Academy is a part of the Georgia Network for Educational and Therapeutic Support (GNETS). 

The Mainstay Academy provides comprehensive educational and therapeutic support services to students enrolled in the Fayette County School District based on their Individualized Educational Plan (IEP). 

Mainstay Academy serves students who are working toward a general education diploma with the Georgia Standards of Excellence as well as students who are working on alternate content standards toward the State-defined Alternate High School Diploma.  

Mainstay GNETS is a service available within the continuum of supports for LEAs (Local Education Agency) to consider when determining the least restrictive environment for students with disabilities, ages 5-21. The Fayette County Public School's Mainstay Academy currently serves less than 1% of the population of students with disabilities in the district.
